Demographic Information
Residency
There is no formal procedure required to establish legal residence in Massachusetts. Your voter registration, automobile registration, driver’s license, the appearance of your name on a city or town street list, or a rent, utility, mortgage, or telephone bill provides sufficient proof of residence. Individual public or private agencies or institutions, however, may have their own requirements.
Drinking Age
The legal drinking age in Massachusetts is 21. A Massachusetts driver’s license or a liquor purchase identification card issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles is considered proper identification.

Voter Registration
Voter registration applications are available at all city and town halls, at local Registry of Motor Vehicle offices, and libraries. You must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Massachusetts.
